Where is the work:
From Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires. This role may sit in our facilities located in La Crosse, Wi; St Peters, MO; Atlanta, GA; or Davidson, NC.
What you will do:
In this role, you will lead the strategy, processes, and performance of supply network inventory planning across service parts. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to reduce excess inventory, improve inventory turns, and design stocking strategies that optimize service, cost, and working capital.
Own and evolve the end-to-end service parts inventory planning strategy across the supply network.
Manage and improve core inventory processes balancing material availability, risk, and financial performance.
Strategically determine where and how much inventory to position to support service goals and customer uptime.
Lead efforts to reduce obsolete and excess inventory while sustaining high availability.
Improve inventory turns through analytical insights, parameter management, and process optimization.
Partner with Procurement, Demand Planning, Retail Planning, DC planning, Logistics and Distribution to align plans with business objectives.
Monitor KPIs, diagnose root causes, and drive continuous improvement in planning and execution.
Conduct inventory modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessments to support long‑term strategy.
Identify, prioritize, and lead improvement opportunities informed by data, system performance, and business needs.
Lead cross-functional projects that enhance inventory planning systems, processes, and capabilities.
Establish project scopes, timelines, milestones, and success measures.
Coordinate project communication, stakeholder alignment, and change execution.
Manage project risks, decision processes, and issue resolution to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Apply structured project management methodologies for consistency, transparency, and accountability.
Provide clear and concise updates, executive-ready communication, and performance summaries.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or related function; service parts experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset; experience with planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and analytics platforms.
Proven ability to balance availability, cost, and working capital through effective inventory management.
Experience driving process improvements and delivering measurable inventory performance results.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple functions.
Ability to lead through influence, navigate complexity, and manage competing priorities.
Experience leading projects or cross-functional initiatives; formal project management experience is a plus.
APICS CPIM preferred.
Proactive change agent and possess leadership skills to build and maintain a team-oriented environment.
Individual must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to interface and influence up and down the organization to drive stakeholder buy-in. .
In-depth understanding of world-class supply chain execution.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and the effective implementation of kaizen, six sigma and Kanban material management operational excellence tools and techniques.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $88,500-$115,000/annually
