JOB DESCRIPTION
Get to Know the Role
The Inventory Planning Internship prepares you to be the financial leader on our product and assortment choices. In this internship you will spend time exploring all functions within Inventory Planning and learn how we make business decisions that allow the company to continue to grow. As an Inventory Planning Intern, you work closely with your teams to monitor inventory levels in our stores and our distribution centers and send out the right amount of product to the right stores so our inventory levels are maximized for profitability. If you have a passion for retail, are business savvy, and numbers are your friend, this is the internship for you.
What You’ll Do
Analyze size selling and buying processes to support business strategies and decisions
Build and use reports to apply key metrics, analyze information, and provide actionable insights
Utilize various tools for visibility into inventory ownership and distribution flows (Excel, Tableau, Cognos, etc.)
Present milestone projects and final intern project with insights to Inventory Planning leadership
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather a holistic view of the business
Attend and contribute to classes, team meetings, connecting learnings to real-world applications
Internship Program Overview
On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor
Classes lead by Inventory Planning leaders to provide interns exposure and training for the role
Individual and group projects
Roundtables with top level executives
Self-led evaluations to understand progress throughout program
Pre-planned events around Pittsburgh to explore the city that AEO loves to call home!

What You Bring
*Applicants must complete a project and pass an Advanced Retail Math Test during the interview process.
Rising Senior at a 4 year college or university, pursuing a Business Related Degree – Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain
Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Passion for retail and knowledge of the AEO Inc. family of brands
Understanding of fashion trends and how they relate to the AE/aerie customer
Strong business acumen gained through classes, internships or prior work experience
Excellent written & verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment
Demonstrated collaborative skills and team-oriented mindset
Self-starter with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
Highly Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
Must be local to the AEO Home Office in Pittsburgh, PA for the duration of the 10 week internship

Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
