Inventory Planner
Rush Enterprises is hiring an Inventory Planner at our Corporate Head Quarters in New Braunfels Texas. The Inventory Planner supports several dealership locations by analyzing and placing daily stock orders and emergency orders, follows up on those purchases to make adjustments to quantities and parts shipped, and expedites back orders for those locations. Provides support for parts managers and aftermarket sales reps who are working directly with customers to provide timely updates on parts tracking and availability. Works within SAP to change settings and make recommendations on safety stock levels and other tools to right-size the Dealership’s inventory. Responsibilities: Inventory Planners support several dealership locations to ensure product availability and inventory productivity. The inventory planner will establish effective inventory strategies that manage daily stock orders and emergency orders. The role follows up on those purchases to adjust quantities, parts shipped and expedites back orders for the dealer locations. This individual works in tandem with parts managers and aftermarket sales reps who are directly engaged with customers to provide timely updates on parts tracking and availability. The inventory planner will operate within SAP to change settings and make recommendations on safety stock levels and other tools to right-size the Dealership’s inventory. Key performance indicators for these responsibilities include and are not limited to inventory turns, fill percentage, inventory productivity and inventory availability. Minimum five years’ experience planning, purchasing inventory (either in a retail or production based operation), evaluating lead times, past sales, and MRP forecasts. Core knowledge in MRP or DRP processes and concepts. Familiarity with SAP a plus. CPIM or ASCM-APICs certification is a plus.
