The Role

The Merchandising Coordinator is a foundational member of the Merchandising team, playing a key role in supporting the growth and success of our categories on Depop.

Working closely with a Senior Category Manager, you’ll help bring category strategies to life - from curating inspiring shopping experiences to supporting data-driven decision making. You’ll manage day-to-day merchandising operations and partner with teams across Marketing, Seller Success, Product, and Insights to deliver work that connects with our users and drives category performance.

This role is ideal for someone early in their merchandising career who’s hands-on, organized, and excited by the intersection of creativity, data, and community.

Salary: $68,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities

Merchandise category-led experiences across Depop’s key surfaces (app, web, email, and social), selecting and ordering items that best reflect category strategy, KPIs, and target customer needs.

Curate high-quality, user-centric shopping experiences that embody Depop’s tone, values, and community interests with a strong eye for detail and aesthetic consistency.

Partner closely with the Senior Category Manager to bring category strategies to life through thoughtful execution, ensuring all merchandising work aligns with broader business priorities.

Coordinate cross-functional workflows with Marketing, Seller Success, Insights, and Product teams to ensure projects launch smoothly and on schedule.

Complete reporting on category performance, gathering data, updating dashboards, and sharing key takeaways with stakeholders to keep them informed of category behaviors and trends.

Support the implementation of category playbooks, leveraging tactics like seller incentives, education, and UX optimisations to drive engagement and sales.

Identify and share emerging trends and shopper styles through market research, data analysis, and community engagement.

Ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment across all merchandising touchpoints—QA’ing work, communicating progress at key milestones, and contributing to an excellent customer experience.
