Inventory Manager
Inventory Manager Job Category: Logistics Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Local * * * **The Opportunity:** Duties include leadership of company inventory control including overseeing shipping and receiving, inventory management and control. Oversees and resolves all inventory issues affecting finance and audit, and ensures satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives. As inventory subject matter expert, recommends operational plans and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results. Provides leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in inventory administration. Implements policies and procedure revisions based on continuous interactions with Leadership. Provides regular reporting to executive management on KPIs and inventory issues. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of the department. **Responsibilities:** + Perform inventory management functions in support of Sterling product manufacturing. + Document and report actions, update records, and perform record investigations. + Maintain Stock Room organization for easy picking of products and to promote accurate inventory control. + Coordination of cycle counts. • Reconciliation of inventory discrepancies to determine root cause. + Ensures that customer inventories are accurate. • Assures proper part revisions are in stock. + Identify and record correct project cost accounting codes when preparing delivery documentation. + Comply with security and confidentiality instructions and practices. + Perform Receiving, Inspection and Picking activities as needed. + Travel to other Locations or Customer Sites as necessary + If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position Skills and Knowledge: + Follows written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently. + Ability to independently recognize, troubleshoot and resolve problems. + Experience with an MRP system for shipping, receiving and inventory management + Ability to successfully adapt to change. + Strong customer service skills. + Consistently demonstrates positive and productive results with attention to detail. + Demonstrated effective teamwork skills. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree with 6 years’ experience in inventory management + Experience in performing hands-on inventory and inventory reconciliation + Experience managing staff, plans, and schedules + Experience in dealing with freight shippers and shipping companies + Experience in packaging sensitive equipment for shipment + Experience in preparing reports to document inventory, and shipping and receiving - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
