About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our laboratory team in Knoxville, TN. This role is critical to ensuring accurate inventory management and smooth operations within a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, specimens, and equipment.Receive and document incoming materials and specimens, reconciling against packing lists.Investigate and resolve inbound and outbound shipment delays, ensuring timely communication and troubleshooting.Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring security and accountability.Prepare and ship materials to other locations, maintaining accurate shipping records.Adhere to all safety regulations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including proper use of PPE.Maintain facility standards, including laboratory and grounds, in compliance with SOPs.Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling company records and information.Lift up to 50 lbs as needed for daily tasks.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentBasic computer skillsAbility to lift/carry up to 50 lbsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsComfortable with frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional squattingPreferred Skills & ExperienceFamiliarity with SAPPrevious experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory, or logisticsProficiency in Microsoft Office and data entryWork EnvironmentThis position is 100% onsite at our Knoxville laboratory. The role involves frequent movement and occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. PPE is required, and tasks are performed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
