This Position reports to:
Operations Manager
ABB is searching for an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead at our Phoenix, AZ Distribution Center. This person will oversee inventory control within a warehouse distribution center, ensuring adherence to established inventory control procedures and standards across all processes. Additionally, manages a team responsible for conducting inspections, audits, and process evaluations to maintain compliance with company policies and customer expectations. Collaborates with warehouse, inventory, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement in product handling, storage, and dispatch processes.
This role will need to work onsite (#LI-Onsite) in our Phoenix, AZ facility.
Key accountabilities:
Develops, implements, and maintains inventory control standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Monitors and ensures achievement of productivity and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets by fostering teamwork, providing training, and motivating staff.
Establishes and adjusts inventory control processes to align with production schedules, workflow demands, and warehouse capacity. Optimizes warehouse layout, inventory flow, and floor utilization to maximize space and productivity.
Supervises and supports daily inventory control operations, ensuring adherence to SOPs and accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and full physical inventory checks.
Investigates and reconciles inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing timely corrective actions. Continuously identifies operational issues, recommends improvements, and drives initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and team performance.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree – Business and or equivalent to work experience.
3+ years of distribution or manufacturing supervision experience.
1+ years of inventory control or quality function experience
Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience.
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools is preferred.
Working knowledge of Blue Yonder WMS and SAP is preferred.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
