Inventory Control Specialist
Develop, plan and maintain accurate inventory control. Analyze inventory quantities to suggest appropriate inventory levels based on customer needs. Monitor and request adjustments of material up (+) or down (-), taking into consideration the financial impacts of such actions. Communicate and coordinate with the Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Production Supervisors, Leads, Production Control and Expeditors. Act as liaison with departments to assist in providing accurate quantities of manufactured parts. Act as liaison between logistics and production. Review inventory levels and ensure material availability. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory on a periodic basis to maintain a high accuracy percentage level. Review slow moving, obsolete or expired material to determine path for disposition. This position requires a broad background in a warehouse environment. Must be able to follow and audit the physical parts or goods from raw material, through the manufacturing processing departments and finished goods ensure proper quantities. Performing other duties as assigned by management that fall within the scope and level of this position. RESPONSIBILITIES + Provide accurate information on inventory to internal customers + Review balance of inventory and count the items in stock + Compile inventory information and present it to management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock, and so on + Suggest policy changes regarding inventory in the company + Investigate hitches in the warehouse inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance + Ensure proper storage conditions for all materials On-Site: This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the El Cajon, CA location.
