Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position within the government contracting industry, offering a dynamic environment for candidates passionate about inventory management and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular tracking and updates. • Monitor assembly line operations to ensure proper allocation and usage of resources. • Conduct routine audits of inventory systems to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. • Collaborate with team members to optimize inventory processes and workflows. • Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels, shortages, and replenishment needs. • Assist in organizing and categorizing materials for efficient storage and retrieval. • Follow established protocols to ensure compliance with government contracting standards. • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to verify shipments and manage incoming stock. • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management practices. Requirements • Proven experience in inventory tracking and management. • Familiarity with assembly line operations and processes. • Strong organizational and analytical skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting. • Proficiency in using inventory software and tools. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members. • Knowledge of compliance standards in government contracting is a plus. • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
