Inventory Analyst

Description We are looking for an experienced Inventory Analyst to join our team in Broadview, Illinois. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for a highly detail-oriented individual with a strong background in procurement and inventory management, particularly within the food industry. The role offers flexibility to work on-site or remotely, provided the candidate resides in a compatible time zone.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and data models using Power BI or Tableau to provide actionable insights.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess.
• Analyze warehouse capacity and storage requirements to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
• Track purchase orders, supplier performance, and lead times, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide procurement recommendations that balance service levels with cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure data-driven decisions improve overall business outcomes.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and formulas to generate detailed reports and analyses.
• Leverage Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics GP for effective inventory and procurement management.
• Drive process improvements to enhance fill rates, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in the food industry, including manufacturing, distribution, or foodservice.
• Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and analytics.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics GP for inventory and procurement processes.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including expertise in building and managing database queries.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, procurement analytics, or supply chain analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve business goals.
