The Role
The Intune Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Microsoft Intune solutions for Windows and iOS devices across the enterprise. This role ensures devices are secure, compliant, and optimized for business needs, while collaborating with Security and other functional teams to maintain best-in-class endpoint management.
Key Responsibilities
Device Lifecycle Management: Work as part of a small team to oversee the full lifecycle of Windows and iOS devices, including enrollment, configuration, protection, upgrade, and retirement. Ensure all devices are managed according to enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
OS Upgrade & Security Remediation Processes: Plan, coordinate, and execute operating system upgrades for Windows and iOS endpoints. Validate upgrade readiness, manage deployment schedules, and troubleshoot upgrade-related issues.
Intune Policy & Configuration: Help to design, implement, and maintain Intune device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and application deployment strategies. Optimize settings for security, usability, and performance.
Security Collaboration: Interface with Security teams as needed to align Intune policies with enterprise security standards as required. An understanding of advanced threat protection, conditional access, and endpoint security baselines Respond to security incidents and participate in risk assessments.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with other IT and business units to ensure device management strategies support organizational goals. Communicate technical concepts and challenges in a clear, simple manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Gap Analysis & Reporting: Identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities in device management processes. Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders in a concise, actionable format.
Stakeholder & Project Management: Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, coordinate small projects, and ensure timely delivery of device management initiatives. Track progress, document outcomes, and escalate issues as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Intune feature releases, best practices, and industry trends. Proactively recommend improvements to device management processes and policies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven experience of 5+ years in managing Microsoft Intune for Windows and iOS devices in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of device lifecycle management, OS upgrade processes, and endpoint security.
Ability to collaborate with other functional teams on projects and remediation activities
Excellent communication skills; able to present technical information simply and effectively.
Experience identifying and resolving gaps in device management processes.
Project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Scripting and automation (PowerShell, etc.).
Experience with hybrid environments (Azure AD, on-premises AD).
Familiarity with compliance frameworks and risk management.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Intune Administrator, Azure Administrator) are a plus.
