Job Description
American Express is looking for a seasoned consultant to help design and implement a sustainable risk assessment framework for its international subsidiaries. This role is ideal for someone with a background in management consulting, who is comfortable working with regulatory frameworks, building governance models, and creating clear, structured deliverables using PowerPoint and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a practical framework to assess and tier risk across international legal entities (subsidiaries and joint ventures).
- Align governance standards and oversight with regulatory expectations (especially FRB).
- Draft and update policy language to support long-term sustainability of the framework.
- Recommend operating models for risk teams, define roles/responsibilities, and identify gaps between current and desired states.
- Create and present materials for senior leadership, regulators, and governance committees.

Skills and Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a management consulting role, specifically with a Risk focus
- Working understanding of US and international regulations (FRB, Basel, ECB, etc.).
- Proven ability to build frameworks and policies in a consulting or advisory capacity.
- Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable producing structured, client-ready deliverables.
