Job Description:
We're seeking an experienced Well Interventions Superintendent to lead field Interventions operations across our Eagle Ford asset. This role offers the opportunity to own and drive results in a dynamic, high-production environment. You will lead a team of 8-15 Well Site Leaders in a 14/14 rotation model, reporting to our Well Interventions Execution Manager. You'll be responsible for maximizing production through expert execution of intervention operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key AccountabilitiesField Operations Leadership
Manage all intervention operations, including workover rigs, cleanouts (coil and stick pipe), refrac preps, snubbing operations, and rigless work (wireline and pumping)Collaborate with engineers and field teams to minimize production deferment and optimize well performanceOversee WSLs, crews, contractors, and equipment across your assigned operations areaSafety & Operational Excellence
Drive 100% compliance with company HSE policies and regulatory requirementsProactively identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to reduce non-productive timeEnsure precise execution of SOPs and procedures across all activitiesManage emergency response and incident reportingTeam Leadership & Development
Mentor and develop Well Site Leaders, Tool Pushers, and crew supervisorsBuild and maintain high-performing contractor relationshipsFoster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational disciplineMaintain adequate staffing levels and bench strengthCommunication & Coordination
Serve as the key interface between field operations, engineering, and managementProvide timely updates on operational progress and challengesTranslate technical guidance into actionable field instructionsCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and landownersEssential Experience and EducationExperience Requirements:
15+ years in well interventions and workover operations5+ years supervisory experience leading field teamsProven track record in production optimization and cost managementTechnical Expertise:
Expert knowledge of workover rig operations, cleanouts (coil and stick pipe), refrac prepsExperience with snubbing units, slickline operations, hot oiling, and rigless interventionsStrong background in artificial lift systems and production deferment managementH2S environment experience preferredLeadership Qualities:
Demonstrated ability to lead by example and drive resultsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressureExcellent communication skills with all levels of personnelOwner's mindset toward cost control and operational efficiencyRequired Certifications:
IADC Well Control CertificationValid driver's licenseHigh school diploma/GEDHow much do we pay (Base)? $192,000 - $226,000
Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
