🗂️ Your Mission:
An Interventional Radiology Technologist at Novant Health plays a critical role in assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as angiography and neurointerventional treatments. These procedures are essential for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.
🔍 What You’ll Do:
ď‚· Assisting in Procedures: Support radiologists and neurointerventionalists during diagnostic angiographic and complex interventional procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
ď‚· Patient Preparation and Monitoring: Prepare and position patients before procedures, remain at their bedside throughout, and monitor vital signs, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
ď‚· Contrast Media Administration: Administer contrast media as per established protocols, aiding in clear imaging during procedures.
ď‚· Documentation and Post-Processing: Document procedural information, perform radiographic image post-processing, and input procedural charges accurately.
ď‚· Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, including radiation safety measures.
ď‚· Patient Education and Support: Provide education to patients and their families about procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Education: High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited radiology program or a certified/accredited/JCERT hospital based program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Associates degree required beginning January, 2015 required.
+ Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology required. One year previous interventional radiology experience preferred.
+ Licensure/certification/registration: ARRT and CPR required. Applicable state licensure as required. CI, CV, VI or military health system program preferred.
+ Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Thorough knowledge of interventional procedure and activity.

Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred. IF RT(R): Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT. IF RN: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license.
+ Experience: IF RT(R): Minimum of one year Cath Lab or Interventional Procedures required. IF RN: Minimum one year Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Interventional Procedures required.
+ Licensure/certification/registration: IF RT(R): ARRT required. IF RN: state RN license required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096.
+ Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. IF RN: Pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
