In this role, you will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support high-quality diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient. What You’ll Do As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will: Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety. Operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation safety standards. Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition. Ensure proper documentation, equipment readiness, and supply management. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to provide exceptional patient care. Uphold Novant Health’s standards for patient safety, quality, and service excellence. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: Education (keep exactly the same): High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited radiology program or a certified/accredited JCERT hospital based program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Associates degree required beginning January, 2015 required. Experience: One year previous interventional radiology experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT and CPR required. Applicable state licensure as required. CI, CV, VI or military health system program preferred. Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Thorough knowledge of interventional procedures and workflow. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
