Interventional Radiology Nurse

Job Summary and Responsibilities
Providing education to the patient and family members: Includes ensuring the patient and family members understand the procedure and plan of care before signing procedural consent and providing them with discharge planning/instructionsPreparing patients for procedures: Includes checking and verifying vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical historyAdministering medications including moderate sedationMonitoring patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure
Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma in Nursing from accredited nursing program or Associates Degree in Nursing requiredActive Registered Nurse Licensure in Arkansas or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing with the Arkansas Board of Nursing. License must be unencumbered. 6 months of nursing experience required (New graduates would need to complete a residency program before consideration for this unit) Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)Previous nursing experience in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care or Emergency Department Where You'll Work

Interventional Radiology Nurses are vital members of the radiology team, providing patient care during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. he IR Nurse provides critical nursing care to the patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
