Interventional Radiology Nurse

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse is a critical member of the IR team, responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients undergoing a wide range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and minimally invasive interventional procedures. This role encompasses all phases of care, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, conscious sedation/analgesia administration, post-procedure recovery, and patient education. The IR RN utilizes advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and a collaborative approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments, including review of medical history, current medications, allergies, lab results, and diagnostic imaging.Identify potential risks, contraindications, and special needs for each patient.Develop individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessment and procedural requirements.Provide clear and comprehensive pre-procedure education to patients and families.

We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 depending on shift to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, and relocation assistance. 


Job Requirements

Current RN license that allows you to practice in our state
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Requires at least 1-2 years of experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or a perioperative setting

Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Additional certification or licensure may be required for specialty areas
