Full Time Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 The Interventional Radiology Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images. What You'll Do + Receives, relays, and documents verbal, written, and electronic orders. + Prepares patient for procedure and assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. + Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, pathology, physiology, and medical terminology. + Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age, condition, and abilities. + Follows protocols established by licensed practitioner and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety. + Identifies, prepares, and administers medications, including contrast media, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. + Performs venipuncture as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. + Evaluates images for quality and ensures proper recording of accurate patient identification and anatomical laterality. + Ensures complete examination is performed following protocol. + Ensures timely review and transfer of images and pertinent clinical information to a licensed practitioner. + Properly operates electronic medical record (EMR), radiology information system (RIS) and picture archiving and communication system (PACS). What We're Looking For + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required. + Experience: + Minimum of one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, required. + Minimum of one year of experience in Interventional Radiology, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: + Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography – RT(R), required. + IV Credentialed, preferred. + Applicable state licensure, required. + Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
