Pratt & Whitney Canada continues to invest in new engine technology and design for future aircraft installations. The Compressor Rotating Structures group is involved in applying broad Mechanical Engineering principles in the structural design, analysis and certification of jet engines rotating components. The team works in a dynamic environment and collaborates with a wide network of specialists. Our responsibilities extend across the lifecycle of the product: from preliminary and detailed design, through validation & verification, certification, and all the way to field engine support.

What will your day-to-day look like?

Collect test results on low cycle fatigue testing and consolidate them in existing databases

Perform systematic reviews of our rotor lifing system and produce accurate records to support durability assessments

Support colleagues in structural assessment of compressor rotors and writing technical reports

Communicating technical progress and status

What do you need to be successful?

Be eligible to work in Canada

Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship

Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable

Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles

Analytical and problem solving skills

Organizational, communication and presentation skills

Autonomous and interpersonal skills
