You will be an integral part in redefining operations to bring Halifax manufacturing to Industry 4.0 standards. **What your day to day will look like:** + Provide solutions to device related manufacturing problems. + Maintain newly installed and legacy computer, network, hardware, and software systems, troubleshoot software, hardware, and network problems, disaster recovery preparedness. + Introduce, maintain, and optimize technical solutions for existing systems. + Upgrading or innovating operating systems with automation solutions, with an end goal of Industry 4.0. + Analyze, design, and implement short- and long-term solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities. + Implement programming initiatives to improve manufacturing equipment and processes. + Provide support to 24/7 operations – may involve working outside of normal working hours or shift work. + Commitment to EH&S and Quality objectives. + Provide project updates via presentations to leadership. + Work closely with operators, area specialists and leadership to gather feedback to create opportunities that address the needs of manufacturing lines. **What you need to be successful:** + Be eligible to work in Canada. + Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship. + Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable. + Pursuing a degree in Applied Computer Science or Computer Science Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written).
