In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our R&D team focusing on software development for advanced navigation in orthopaedic surgery. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a cutting-edge solution for computer-assisted surgery that can have a significant impact on patient outcomes.

You will perform problem solving, identify potential solutions and evaluate them.
Implement software components in C++/Qt on a Linux platform.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and domain experts.
Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics.
Play an active role in the development of next-generation orthopedic surgical systems that improve patient outcomes and save lives.
Document and present research findings, algorithms and results in reports.
That makes you stand out:
You are currently enrolled in a master's programme in computer science, biomedical engineering or a related field.
You have experience in object-oriented programming (C++/Java, etc.) and a strong interest in developing high-performance software.
You have a background in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning.
Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques is a plus.
You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
You have good communication and documentation skills in English.
Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)
