Within all core markets Barco sells displays and screens. In certain environments a high number of screens is present e.g. Control Rooms or Operating rooms. Barco has heavily invested in networking solutions delivering content to those screens. Given recent advancements and evolutions in game engine technology, we want to explore this technology for current and potential new markets.
Function
We are looking for a creative student who will research applications and scalability of game engine technology on a variety of platforms.
This exploration will also involve audio-visual streaming for which you will collaborate with skilled Barco engineers.
As part of the Barco Labs, you will be part of a small startup minded team surrounded by expertise in different domains to help you build and apply your skillset.
Key responsibilities
You will create small one-off's to test the capabilities of game engines on compact hardware You will research how media can be implemented in a game environment You will research runtime operations (loading assets real-time)
Qualifications
You have a thorough knowledge of Game Engines (Unreal, Unity, Godot) You have coding skills (C++, C#) You are up to date with new evolutions in 3D hardware/software You like to brainstorm about certain hardware and software combosFurthermore, you should be a student in a technical discipline, eligible to work at our HQ in Kortrijk, Belgium.
