Internship Communication Global Infrastructure

We’re looking for a communications intern to join our consumer experience team. In the role, you’ll support communications to a large tech audience across ING. You will shape how we communicate and engage our tech global audience. Contribute to designing and building the central communications hub and help teams improve how they communicate with their consumer base. This is a great opportunity someone who is looking to put their classroom knowledge into action and gain strategic communication experience in a tech environment.

The team

As part of consumer experience, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team made up of communications, learning and development, technical writers, and consultants. We sit within global infrastructure (otherwise known as IT infrastructure) and focus on improving the experience of our consumers. By consumers, we mean the developers and engineers that use our infrastructure services to build applications and other IT products.

Working closely with the communications expert, you’ll work on improving the experience of our consumers by delivering clear impactful communications and guidance on how infrastructure teams can improve.

Roles and responsibilities


This will include the following:

Support the design and build of a central communications hub that will help teams to easily access resources, templates, guidelines to improve their communications.Collaborate with team members to create clear, engaging content to audiences.Review and suggest improvements to content, making sure it’s clear, consistent and aligns to our standards.Gather feedback from teams to help identify challenges and to help improve our resources.Become familiar with corporate communication guidelines, tone of voice, and processes across global infrastructure and ING.

Strong English writing and editing skills.Familiarity with SharePoint and other Microsoft products.An eye for detail that can spot inconsistencies, accuracy and clarity in communications and content.Proactive in suggesting ideas and opportunities for improvement.Comfortable working with a range of team members across different disciplines.An interest in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
