Currently, ASML supports pellicle detection on the reticle stage (PDRS). It has been a hot topic recently, we have been working to support this feature in new machines, under new scenarios. Undetected pellicle breakage can lead to irreversible damage on the wafers in process. To verify and validate PDRS we maintain automatic tests, that simulate sensor readings in pellicle breakage scenarios. The maintenance of this automatic tests is becoming more and more demanding and requires from the team more time than the time spent in PDRS production work. It would be highly desirable to improve our PDRS testing/simulation experience, by making it easier and faster to maintain.
Your assignmentThis internship aims to improve our PDRS simulation capabilities, by making an easily configurable way of simulating TIS sensor scan intensities. We expect a new way of simulating TIS intensities, that will require minimum effort from developers when the PDRS functionality changes. This new way should provide a sequence of TIS scan intensities given a set of inputs, by leveraging configuration files, instead of depending solely on hardcoded configurations.
This is an apprentice internship for 3 to 4 months, starting as soon as possible.
