International Patient Relations Specialist - Bilingual Spanish

As an International Patient Relations Specialist, you will help fulfill this mission by serving as the primary liaison between the organization and international patients, embassies, and external referring partners within a designated global region. This position supports the Global Patient Services team in coordinating the full patient journey for individuals traveling from Latin America and the Caribbean, ensuring a seamless and compassionate experience. By supporting patients who travel across the world for care, this role directly contributes to Cleveland Clinic's vision to be the global leader in patient experience, clinical outcomes, research, and education. **A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m., with three days on-site and two days remote.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of healthcare visits throughout Cleveland Clinic Health System for international patients (e.g., intake and registration, clinical screening, scheduling, travel preparations and logistical support for international self-pay, insurance and embassy patients). + Oversee an assigned embassy/regional workflow and provide feedback to manager. + Prepare and provide medical documentation updates to embassy officials under the supervision of GPS clinical team. + Monitor trends and maintain accurate and up-to-date records in patient relationship management system. + Share relevant patient activity data with the GPS team and leadership. + Coordinate and expedite hospital visits, special direct admissions and hospital transfers. + Assist with problem resolution and service recovery related to patient experience. + Collaborate with the GPS front end team, interpreters/language services, financial counselors, and other healthcare professionals. + Collaborate with management to ensure embassy/regional cross coverage when needed. + Identify and help implement opportunities to improve speed, quality, and effectiveness of services. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree in a related field, _preferably Life Sciences_ **and** five years of experience in sales, customer service and account management or related experience in a hospital/medical setting + **OR** High School Diploma/GED **and** nine years of experience + **OR** Associate's Degree **and** seven years of experience + Advanced fluency in Spanish + Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients + Ability to learn, use and understand clinical information systems and other computer applications Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Experience working with diverse patient populations + Experience working with in a customer service capacity with patients/clients/customers + Strong organizational and time management skills + Experience working in fast-paced environments **Physical Requirements:** + Requires the ability to sit and be stationary for prolonged periods of time. + Normal or corrected vision. + Manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer. + Requires the ability to walk to various locations throughout the main campus. + Ability to function in a stressful, fast-paced environment. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. **Pay Range** Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
