Calgaz Ltd, (Part of the Air Liquide Group) is the world leader in the manufacture of calibration gases which are distributed from our Stoke facility across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and beyond. Working with our Head Office in Houston and our sister plants in the USA Calgaz is a world leader in its field.

Calgaz is now looking for a Full Time Internal Sales Associate to support our European SalesTeam. The position is to undertake a role within the Sales Team, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK, and will become permanent after a 3 month probationary period

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Identifying new prospects using existing data and carrying out research from public available sources

Achieve sales targets, both financial and volume based, as set by EMEA Sales Manager

Contacting and evaluating new leads via cold calling

Providing information and pricing information to new prospective customers

Following up new prospects and closing out business and contracts

In addition the primary role of the ISA will also provide support to the Customer Services Team by quoting existing customers in a timely and accurate manner (same day)

Account management

The position will report to the European and Middle East Sales Manager also based in Stoke 

Working Details

To allow us to maximise our international coverage we would normally work:

08:00hrs - 16:30 hrs 

Monday - Friday

The role is primarily office based, but will expand to travel in the future.

Requirements for Role

Demonstrated success in high pressure international sales environment

Ability to adapt to work with a number of IT systems as used by Calgaz including Google, Salesforce.com and SAGE

Take ownership of complex inquiries, follow prospects through to completion including an ability to identify a root cause and offer a solution

Attention to detail

Curious and methodical approach and ability to identify possible improvements 

Be willing to move to face-2-face sales in the future

Respect

Accuracy 

Positive attitude towards work, life and willingness to learn

Innovative approach to help develop workflows and support others


 

Qualifications and Requirements

Educated preferably to a minimum of A Level standard or equivalent

Good communicator in English both orally and written.

Computer / IT literate

Flexible Team Player
