The Opportunity Your Impact The Sr. Manager of Crisis and Internal Communications is responsible for protecting and strengthening PepsiCo Mexico’s corporate reputation among employees by leading internal communications and crisis response strategies. This role ensures that employees—particularly frontline colleagues in Operations and Sales—remain informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s objectives, while also serving as a key advisor in crisis situations to protect trust, mitigate risk, and safeguard credibility. Responsibilities Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication planning and response for PepsiCo Mexico, developing proactive strategies, reactive statements, and talking points in partnership with Labor Relations, HR, and Operations. Provide counsel to senior leadership during sensitive or high-impact issues. Internal Communications Strategy: Design, revise, and execute communication strategies that connect employees with PepsiCo’s corporate objectives, narratives, programs, and goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a strategic partner to HR, Labor, and Operations leaders by building positive narratives and enabling transparent, consistent communication across all levels of the organization. Leadership Support: Support the SVP HR and the Corporate Affairs Director in representing PepsiCo Mexico before PepsiCo LatAm in internal and external forums. Narratives Bureau: Lead the internal narratives bureau, coordinating project management, conversation monitoring, and content development (videos, design, internal journalism) with external agencies. Editorial Calendar & Data: Develop and oversee a yearly editorial calendar, supported by internal journalism and informed by data, external narratives, and emerging opportunities. Policies & Governance: Establish and update communication policies to ensure alignment, transparency, and readiness for both day-to-day and crisis scenarios. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a strong focus on crisis management and internal communications within large, complex organizations. Crisis Communications Expertise: Proven ability to design and execute crisis response strategies, including reactive statements, Q&A briefs, and talking points for senior leaders. Strong experience advising leadership in high-pressure situations. Internal Communications Leadership: Demonstrated track record of building internal communications strategies that align employees with corporate objectives, narratives, and cultural transformation. Stakeholder Management: Experience working closely with HR, Labor Relations, and Operations leadership to align communications with business needs and employee engagement priorities. Narrative Development & Storytelling: Ability to craft clear, compelling, and inspiring narratives tailored to diverse audiences, especially frontline employees. Project & Agency Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects, coordinating with creative agencies (video, design, journalism), and ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables. Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset: Competence in using data, monitoring, and employee feedback to guide strategy, measure impact, and continuously improve communications. Executive Presence & Advisory Skills: Comfortable supporting senior executives (SVP HR, Corporate Affairs Director) in forums and acting as a trusted advisor in both day-to-day and crisis contexts.
