Role and Responsibilities
Regional Headquarter (RHQ) ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) manager will work under RHQ Business Management Team’s Risk Management department. Under the guidance of the HQ Internal Control Management Group, the RHQ ICFR manager will plan ICFR operation, execute ICFR tests, and coordinate with internal/external audit in support of testing, walkthroughs, and process reviews. The RHQ ICFR manager will also identify and communicate with HQ Internal Control Management Group the findings and recommendations on RHQ subsidiaries’ ICFR activities to enhance processes and internal controls.
Role & Responsibilities
Conduct design/operating effectiveness testing of ICFR (including change management and year-end roll-forward), manage test status and validation by RHQ, and report test results (to RHQ Head of Management, HQ Internal Control Group) to smooth operation of RHQ subsidiaries’ ICFR
Will work under and align with HQ guidelines and supervision of the Head of Management at RHQ
Coordinate planning and testing activities of subsidiaries with an external service provider, such as accounting or consulting firms, for ICFR tests
Conduct ICFR testing for subsidiaries that do not utilize the external service provider for ICFR testing
Regular Check-ups besides ICFR Testing and Deficiency Remediation
Report the result of ICFR tests, develop and execute remediation plans for control deficiencies, and determine the adequacy of mitigating controls of RHQ subsidiaries
Coordinate and support external audit process partnering with subsidiaries and the external service provider and play a leading role in ensuring smooth operation of RHQ subsidiaries’ ICFR audits
Review RHQ subsidiaries’ RCM to determine controls that need to remain as key controls, identify controls that need to be combined, removed, and/or improved, and make suggestions for improvements to HQ
Review and approve RHQ subsidiaries’ proposals of modifying or implementing new control(s) (HQ’s consent will be required in addition to the RHQ ICFR’s approval when change and/or implementation of control(s) are made)
Plan and provide periodic training to ICFR-related personnel, such as business/IT process owners and control owners, in RHQ subsidiaries
Skills and Qualifications
BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business
7-10 years of relevant experience
2+ years of carrier ICFR (*)/SAP experience within a complex and heavily matrixed organization
Experience in ICFR audit, preferably in the accounting firms (EY, KPMG, Deloitte, and PwC), managing or leading role experience in internal control department at companies that comply with US-SOX
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification
Bilingual in Korean and English
Ability to speak/write/comprehend business-level English
Advanced experience with MS Office (Excel, Work, Power Point)
Accounting Knowledge: Possesses a solid knowledge of accounting theory and principles

Strong Personal Communicator: Possesses excellent communication skills; an active listener and presenter who can articulate vision and goals with clarity and passion.
Global Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively across business units, geographies, and cultures. May require frequent business trips and in some cases, extended business trips to overseas within the RHQ or to the HQ, South Korea.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $126,000 and $155,500. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
