**Job Summary:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute internal communication strategies that align with school goals, ensuring consistent, inclusive, and timely messaging across platforms.
+ Manage and maintain digital communication tools including the intranet, internal portals, calendars, and website directories, with a focus on usability, governance, and stakeholder support.
+ Create and distribute engaging content (e.g., newsletters, announcements, videos) while maintaining brand consistency and supporting leadership and event communications.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, HR, marketing, and university communications to align messaging and streamline communication efforts.
+ Monitor engagement and performance metrics using CMS, email platforms, and analytics tools to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
+ Provide training and consultation on communication best practices and explore new technologies to enhance internal communications and directory management.

**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field.
+ Four (4) years of professional experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related roles.
+ Prior experience managing intranets or similar digital communication platforms.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Prior experience in higher education or academic medicine environment.
+ Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
+ Experience with CMS platforms.
**Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):**
+ Strong writing, editing, and content development skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent organizational and project management skills.
+ Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across diverse groups.
+ Familiarity with governance models and best practices for internal communication systems.
+ Proficiency in web content management systems, digital analytics, and design tools.
+ Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive communication practices.
+ Ability to connect communication tactics to organizational goals.
+ Builds partnerships across departments and roles.
+ Proactively improves systems, tools, and processes.

This position will serve as the central point of contact for developing and executing communication strategies that foster engagement, transparency, and alignment across faculty, staff, and students. Core responsibilities include overseeing the governance and development of the school's intranet, managing the school-wide calendar, and creating effective communication systems that support the school's mission and values.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in creating content that helps build a more connected and informed community.
