This role is both internal and change communications focused, requiring a strategic communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, consultancy-heavy environment. You’ll work closely with outside consultants and agencies, internal stakeholders and leadership across the organization to drive engagement, clarity and alignment around change initiatives.

Because the majority of Ascension’s workforce is deskless, this role demands creativity and strategy to reach associates where they are, through clear, accessible and impactful communications.

Collaborate closely with external consultants and agencies to develop and deliver coordinated messaging and campaigns

Design communication approaches tailored for a primarily deskless workforce, ensuring messages are engaging, accessible and actionable

Develop internal communications content, campaigns and events that support operational objectives and reinforce Ascension’s Mission, Vision and Values as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church

Proactively identify trends, risks, challenges and solutions to process adoption, and lead and support change communication efforts

Combine strategic thinking and a big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus

Maintain flexible availability and responsiveness both during and outside of normal work hours as necessary

Complexity of Work

Requires outstanding writing skills, critical thinking skills, strategic counseling skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a high-performance, fast-paced environment and navigate multiple priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrated experience leading internal and change communications for large-scale initiatives is essential.
