Internal Communications Manager

We’re looking for a skilled storyteller who can turn complex information into clear, engaging communications. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on implementation to strengthen our culture and support our Mission. **What you’ll do** + Create and deliver communications that drive associate engagement and understanding across a mix of channels including email, newsletters, intranet, digital displays, videos and presentations. + Develop and drive the execution of strategic and measurable internal communications plans. + Manage internal events and other initiatives to promote associate engagement and strengthen the company culture (i.e., Town Halls, Podcasts). + Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that content is aligned with business objectives and supports the Ascension’s goals, culture and values —and make it meaningful. + Bring a creative, “journalist” mindset to celebrate our people and their work. + Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis. + Stay flexible and responsive in a fast-moving environment. **What we’re looking for** + Excellent writing and editing skills. + Experience in internal communications, employee engagement or change management. + Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams in a matrixed organization. + Strategic consultant who is savvy at building strong relationships with senior leaders. + Proactive problem-solver with a passion for mission-driven work and an eye for detail, clarity and focus. + Flexible availability and responsiveness both during and outside of normal work hours as necessary. + Bonus: healthcare or service industry background. **Requirements** Education: + High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred. **Additional Preferences** + Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field. 5+ years in an internal communications or related role, with leadership experience. Requires outstanding writing skills, critical thinking skills, strategic counseling skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a high-performance environment. Experience in the healthcare industry, with intranet platforms or similar tools is a plus.
