Internal Auditor
Description Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join their team in the Reading, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating internal processes, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and audit principles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for enhancing business operations. Responsibilities: • Conduct audits by applying knowledge of accounting standards and audit methodologies to assess organizational processes. • Develop detailed process maps, analyze complex data sets, and draw insightful conclusions to support audit findings. • Utilize auditing tools and technologies, including AS400 Query, Microsoft Access, and other platforms, to perform audit tasks effectively. • Communicate findings diplomatically and share subject matter expertise across various departments. • Participate in and support departmental initiatives to enhance process management and efficiency. • Evaluate audit results, prepare comprehensive reports, and present recommendations to management for improving internal controls and business operations. • Manage project-related tasks such as setup, documentation, report writing, and status updates. • Undertake additional projects as assigned by management. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in auditing or a related business field. • Preferred candidates will hold certifications such as CPA, CIA, or similar. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and their practical application. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Experience with auditing technologies and query tools is considered a plus.
