The Position
As an independent review function within the Roche Group, the Group Audit team provides assurance to the senior leaders of Roche by assessing and understanding the inherent risks to the entire organisation, and by improving the efficiency and compliance of operations. As an internal auditor your key role and responsibilities are to:
Conduct risk-based audits of business processes across the organisation in Pharma and Diagnostics divisons. Our audit approach follows the principles outlined by the Institute of Internal Audit (https://global.theiia.org)
Partner with stakeholders, including senior members of the audited organisations, to evaluate business risks, communicate clearly and concisely our observations and concerns, agree on appropriate action plans to improve internal controls as well as the effectiveness of their operations
Follow up on issues and actions identified during the audit to ensure they are completed satisfactorily
As team lead, effectively manage and support a team of auditors through audit engagements.
Who you are

We seek candidates with a strong academic background, holding a Master's degree in business administration, economics or related and are a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). You possess 5 to 10 years of experience as an internal auditor or strategic consultant, preferably with a 'Big Four' firm or in the healthcare industry coupled with comprehensive knowledge of processes and risks either in commercial areas or, alternatively, in areas like R&D, production, and supply chain management. Most of your engagements involved assessing operations, performance and internal controls.
In addition, you bring the following skills and competencies:
A genuine enthusiasm for streamlining and optimizing business processes and workflows
A critical and investigative mindset, with a passion for maintaining Roche's license to operate
Strong communication abilities, including excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the capability to convey challenging messages clearly and constructively
Proficiency in English, enabling fluent and concise conversation for effective interviews and presentations, and the ability to write clear, concise, and reader-friendly reports
Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, with a preference for working in an international environment and engaging with diverse cultures
This position requires a moderate amount of international travel, accounting for up to 25% to 35% of your time, often in two-week stints.
