About the job:

Conducting detailed risk assessments and identify controls in place to mitigate identified risks, Undertake audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques.Analyze and conclude on effectiveness and efficiency of controlsIdentify control gaps and opportunities for improvementPerform timely follow-up and ensure proper closure of audit issuesDocument the results of audit issues and work performedProvide support to external auditor for the year-end financial auditEnhance internal audit standards and practices within the Town CouncilCheck for compliance with Corporate Governance regulationsCheck for compliance to the Town Councils Act, Town Councils Financial Rules and other statutory requirementsTo facilitate and support the Audit Committee

About you:

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business with at least 2 years’ experience in internal/external audit or related fields.Strong ability to conduct risk assessments and evaluate internal controls effectively.Proficient in performing audit testing, documentation, and follow‑up of audit findings.Familiarity with Corporate Governance regulations and statutory requirements (e.g., Town Councils Act, Financial Rules).Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills to support internal audit operations and external audit activities.
