Internal Audit - Dallas - Associate, Business Audit - 9235004

Job Duties: Associate, Business Audit with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Responsible for providing independent assurance for the firm's internal control structure. Responsibilities include performance of the audit including planning, execution and reporting; management of issue remediation; ongoing assessment of risk including sufficient assurance work to form a view as to the firm's control structure. Participate in monitoring and ongoing review of firm control initiatives, including practices to identify internal control evolutions, and assessments of industry-wide regulatory events and practices to stay abreast of emerging issues and risks. Assist with multiple audits concurrently, including employing audit and analytical procedures and techniques to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls to mitigate risks, and discussing the results with the firm’s management. Drive discussions with business stakeholders to understand risk drivers, control state, and impact in order to formulate a point of view of the control environment. Define audit scope and perform detailed walkthroughs to evaluate the adequacy of the control designs and develop test plans and perform testing to assess control operating effectiveness. Drive report preparation by drafting commercially effective audit reports and clear findings. Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving Internal Audit’s processes and supporting infrastructure. Analyze data by applying various data analytic tools to derive conclusions and make business decisions to drive projects.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Financial Risk Management, or a related quantitative field and one (1) year of experience in job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Financial Risk Management, or a related quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year (with Master’s) or three (3) years (with Bachelor’s) with the following: independently assess a firm’s control structure and its conformance with regulatory requirements; participate in planning, scoping, and execution of risk-based and regulatory required audits; assess the likelihood and impact of a control weaknesses through commercially effective audit deliverables; utilize data analytics technology to analyze and test large data sets; and analyze global macroeconomic environment and its interconnection with execution processes and enterprise risk to assess comprehensiveness of a firm’s risk inventory.
