Intern – Special Programs
Role Mission
The Special Programs Intern will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of high-priority projects and initiatives within the organization. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help coordinate and manage special programs that support the organization’s strategic goals. Responsibilities will include tracking program progress, monitoring data, and providing support to senior team members.
Location
This is a full-time position with preference given to candidates in the Rio Grande Valley. Some in-person work is required.

What You will Do
Ensure compliance with state regulations by using a tracker for SPP11, monitoring all timelines, and taking necessary actions to guarantee that evaluations and ARDs are completed within the required timeframe Support communication efforts, including drafting emails and sharing reports and data results Provide support to regional clerks by ensuring all records in TREx are located and promptly communicated to them, keeping them informed and up to date Monitor program performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders Maintain project timelines, deliverables and relevant data to ensure progress and alignment with goals Participate in meetings and provide administrative support to the special programs team Responsible for sending requested information to the SSA promptly and in accordance with their requirements Ensures that all submitted testing documents are properly boxed, labeled, and sent to the storage facility at the end of each school year Provide support to all special program team members by assisting with any requests or needs they may have

Required Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Sitting for extended periods of time Lifting items weighing 15 lbs. or less Sedentary office environment
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary for this role is $11/hour.
