Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $40 billion. Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Whether our customers are accelerating life sciences research, solving sophisticated analytical challenges, improving patient diagnostics and therapies, or growing efficiency in their laboratories, we are here to support them. Our distributed team of more than 100,000 colleagues delivers an outstanding combination of innovative technologies.

One of these is our DualBeam microscope platform, which combines a Focused Ion Beam (FIB) and a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) in a single instrument. This allows scientists to explore materials and biological samples at nanoscale precision. One of the key applications for this platform is 3D tomography, where a sample is milled layer by layer and imaged to reconstruct its internal structure.

Our software product Auto Slice and View (ASV) automates this complex workflow, enabling high-throughput, high-precision FIB-SEM tomography used in materials science, semiconductor failure analysis, and life sciences research.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Join our team as a Software Quality Assurance Intern, where you will participate in the testing campaign for the ASV application. This is a unique opportunity to give to the reliability and robustness of innovative microscopy software used around the world.

You will work closely with developers, testers, and application specialists to:Complete manual and automated test cases for new and existing software featuresHelp design and document test plans for upcoming functionalityValidate complex imaging workflows, including sample alignment, ion beam milling, and 3D reconstructionReport, track, and help solve software issuesGive to the continuous improvement of our test infrastructure and practices
