Responsibilities
We are seeking a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate to join our inpatient pharmacy team. This structured role is designed to support professional development toward U.S. pharmacist licensure, with a clear progression from technician responsibilities to clinical exposure. The pace of advancement is flexible and based on individual performance, engagement, and readiness.
Key Responsibilities: The role is designed around progressive skill development in 400-hour increments:
· Phase 1: Dispatch & Carousel (400 hours) Gain experience with medication distribution and carousel operations.
· Phase 2: Narcotic Handling (400 hours) Learn narcotic inventory control, documentation, and secure handling procedures.
· Phase 3: TCT (Tech-Check-Tech) (400 hours) Engage in technician-verification processes under pharmacist oversight where permitted.
· Phase 4: Pharmacist Shadowing and Medication Histories (400 hours total)
Shadow pharmacists (200 hours) across various clinical services to gain insight into workflow, decision-making, and interprofessional collaboration.Conduct medication history interviews (200 hours), both in person and remotely via Caregility, under preceptor guidance.Additional Role Expectations:

Qualifications
Enrolled as a full-time student in good standing and have completed the first P1 semester of a Doctor of Pharmacy program within the U.S. that is accredited (or in the process of pursuing accreditation) by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education.
Alternatively, a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate who has achieved Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee TM (FPGEC®) Certification through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) will be considered.
Prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
If registration and/or certification as a pharmacist intern (or equivalent) is required by the Board of Pharmacy (or equivalent) in the state in which the internship is conducted, this must be completed prior to and maintained throughout employment.
Foreign Pharmacy Graduates must have a FPGEC® Certificate awarded through the NABP, this must be completed prior to and maintained throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Completion of a pharmacy degree program outside the United States
· Eager to work toward U.S. pharmacist licensure
· Technically skilled with an interest in learning new systems (e.g., Caregility, carousel automation)
· Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to patient safety and teamwork
· Pharmacy Intern Licensure registered by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
