Job Description
As an Intern Mechanical Engineer, you will support the Continuation Engineering team within the Safety, Sensing & Industrial Components (SIC) business unit at Rockwell Automation. You will work alongside a team of experienced mechanical engineers focused on improving and maintaining existing industrial automation products. This part-time role is based in Katowice and reports to the Hardware Manager. You will start you paid internship in July or August and work onsite in Katowice, Poland.
Your ResponsibilitiesSupport engineers in implementing engineering changes by updating 2D and 3D documentation using CAD systems.Maintain and revise technical documentation for low-voltage control and distribution devices.Create and update technical documentation for cross-functional teams including Industrialization, Process Engineering, Quality, Product Engineering, and Sales.Assist in creating and modifying Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing processes.The Essentials – You Will HaveActive student status (Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field)Working knowledge of CAD software (preferably PTC Creo or Siemens NX).Understanding of technical machine drawings.Basic knowledge of automation or electrical engineering.Good command of English.The Preferred – You Might Also HaveExperience with PTC Creo.Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP.Understanding of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding and metalworking.Knowledge of surface treatment and coating technologies.What We Offer:
