Stage: Dataonderzoek ten behoeve van een impactvolle sustainability

Vanaf 2024 moeten bedrijven die in de EU opereren voldoen aan de Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Deze richtlijn verplicht grote bedrijven om te rapporteren over hun duurzaamheidspraktijken en -impact.

Samenvatting van de rapportagevereisten:

Milieu-impact: Bedrijven moeten hun impact op het milieu bekendmaken, inclusief koolstofemissies, energieverbruik en afvalbeheer.Sociale impact: Rapportage over sociale factoren zoals welzijn van werknemers, diversiteit en betrokkenheid bij de gemeenschap is vereist.Bestuur: Bedrijven moeten informatie verstrekken over hun bestuursstructuren, inclusief diversiteit in de raad van bestuur en maatregelen tegen corruptie.Dubbele materialiteit: Dit concept vereist dat bedrijven niet alleen rapporteren over hoe duurzaamheidskwesties hen financieel beïnvloeden, maar ook hoe hun activiteiten de samenleving en het milieu beïnvloeden.Verzekering: De gerapporteerde informatie moet worden geverifieerd door een onafhankelijke auditor om nauwkeurigheid en betrouwbaarheid te waarborgen.

Kyndryl biedt de Kydryl Bridge Sustainability Advisor aan, deze service helpt organisaties hun datacenters duurzamer te maken door energieverbruik en broeikasgasuitstoot te volgen en verminderen met geavanceerde analyses, AI en machine learning. Wij streven ernaar meer waarde te bieden dan alleen het datacenter. We willen zoveel mogelijk CSDR-elementen automatisch detecteren/verzamelen en analyseren voor de CSDR-rapportage en ook om te kunnen adviseren over mogelijke optimalisaties. 

In deze stage ga je onderzoeken welke data en de daarbij behorende databronnen geschikt zijn voor de verschillende elementen en hoe deze in een data lake opgeslagen worden. In een vervolgopdracht zullen studenten een wrapper bouwen voor CSDR-inzichten en -acties.

Met welke technologieën en/of concepten kom je in aanraking?

Bij deze opdracht kom je in aanraking met geavanceerde technologieën zoals AI, machine learning, big data analytics, en cloud computing. Daarnaast zullen ze concepten zoals dataprivacy, AVG/GDPR compliance, en duurzaamheid in IT-omgevingen verkennen.
