About the Role: As an Accounting Intern in our manufacturing environment, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience analyzing accruals, budgets and forecasts, understanding the basics of GAAP analysis and getting exposure to cost center budgeting. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how we drive efficiency and excellence in our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support team with analysis of actuals, budgets, and forecast with a focus on P&L performance and financial ratios.
· Run reports in various interfaces of the Oracle system to aid in collecting and analyzing data to provide actuals and updated values for forecast.
· Gain a deeper understanding of GAAP Accounting and its application in the manufacturing environment.
· Learn and gain exposure to the cost center budgeting, capital expenditure, and compliance processes.
· Support audit requests related to Physical Inventory Exemption and internal compliance records.
Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior in an accredited college or university.
· Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Oracle (not nec)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
