The Position

In R&D Software Engineering Tools and Infrastructure team we are responsible for supporting all software engineering teams within R&D. We are a distributed team handling infrastructure, configuration management, software tooling, process automation and developer support for the R&D organization. Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

Infrastructure improvements: contribute to the automation efforts to remove manual labour and improve efficiencyImprove Management of Software Licenses: Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate records of all software licenses.Find Cost-Savings Possibilities: Analyze software license usage to find opportunities for cost savings, including multi-year license renewal options and alternative solutions.Improve Reporting: Develop and improve reporting mechanisms to provide clear access to software license usage and compliance.Software License Renewal and Vendor Discussions: Assist in the process of software license renewals and engage in discussions with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Python or Other Scripting Languages: Ability to write scripts to automate tasks and analyze data.Experience with Generative AI Tools: Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, notebook LM, and Anthropic Claude.MS Office Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.Proficient in English
