The intern will help identify potential new equipment, coordinate the removal of retired assets, and support the integration of new equipment into our laboratories. Key responsibilities include: + Updating and maintaining laboratory equipment inventories + Supporting the harmonization of analytical test instruments + Identifying and evaluating potential replacement equipment that aligns with departmental needs + Engaging with equipment vendors to gather information and build working relationships + Assisting with capital expenditure requests to ensure timely procurement and installation of new equipment This internship offers hands-on exposure to laboratory operations within a biopharma process development organization. The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to present their work and internship experience at the end of the program. **Requirements:** + Candidate must be currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior or be enrolled as a graduate student pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioprocessing Science or related field. + Candidate must currently have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. + Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Ability to search through documentation, understand current working practices, and identify efficiency opportunities. + Familiarity with laboratory operations and equipment including general laboratory safety awareness. + Basic skills necessary: Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with direction.
