INTERN - ALUMNI RELATIONSHIP COORDINATOR - (15-20 HRS / WEEK)ALUMNI AFFAIRSNATIONAL TO & THROUGH COLLEGE TEAM   Mission:  The Alumni Relationship Coordinator (Intern) builds relationships with a portfolio of IDEA alumni and helps their assigned national manager of alumni affairs (alumni success coach) coordinate communication and coaching.  They invest alumni in the value proposition of alumni success coaching and amass knowledge that helps the alumni affairs team better understand alumni progress toward college graduation and needs for support. Supervisory Responsibilities:  None Location:  This is a part time (15-20 hrs per week) remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate. Travel Expectations:    None.  Overview:The Alumni Relationship Coordinator (Intern) will coordinate the sourcing, prospecting, cultivating, and alumni support lead & scheduling generation amongst an assigned caseload, in partnership with their assigned national manager of alumni affairs. This role will focus in supporting (a) alumni engagement & receptivity, (b) driving key undergraduate performance indicators knowledge & progress, (c) own the logistics of pre & post alumni success coaching check-ins, events, and programmatic engagement, and (d) ultimately, charge towards ensuring alumni peers are rendering the services, supports, & solutions of the Alumni Affairs Team. A day in the life will entail, (A) checking in with you direct manager, (B) emailing, texting, and calling IDEA alumni directly with tailored pitches to both (1) amass undergraduate performance knowledge (e.g., quantitative and qualitative) and (2) compel alumni on the value proposition of our alumni success coaching support with their assigned manager of alumni affairs, (3) leading the coordination of calendaring and pre alumni success check-in logistics on Salesforce, and (4) collaborating with peer alumni relationship coordinators to drive KPI success for Dial Blitz Days, Text Blitz Days, Email Blitz Days, In-The-Field Campaign Attendance, Virtual Event Attendance, etc., and (5) other ad-hoc duties as assigned.   What You’ll DoLead Generation for Alumni Support: Use emails, texts, and calls to address alumni support needs and assess retention and completion risks.Success Coaching Coordination: Schedule alumni coaching sessions (phone, in-person, or virtual), manage Salesforce updates, and oversee calendar invites.Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with new and returning alumni, addressing undergraduate challenges with tailored solutions.Engagement Campaigns: Drive undergraduate progress tracking through calls, surveys, texts, and partner data, focusing on FAFSA, semester registration, and regional programs.Team Collaboration: Participate in onboarding (including Alumni Relationship Coordinator Academy), monthly professional development, weekly KPI reviews, and ongoing peer best practice sharing.   Knowledge and Skills – CompetenciesMake Strategic Decisions: This individual is able to gather relevant information, consider various options, and make choices that are in line with their current responsibilities and the team’s goals.Manage Work and Teams:  This individual focuses on managing their own work effectively. They practice direct communication in their daily interactions and can adjust message based on immediate feedback and audience understanding with support. OTHER SKILLSHigh quality written and verbal communication across diverse channels  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Must be an IDEA Public Schools graduateEducation:  Enrolled in AA or BA program, (minimum 30 credit hours)0-1 years of professional experience as an undergraduate student, internships, part-time roles PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Experience with Salesforce and/or relationship management, preferred Experience with Excel to read, analyze, and inform next steps, preferredExperience setting & achieving ambitious goals, personally & professionallyExperience with higher education processes, including financial aid, student services, and academic advising   GOALS:You will be responsible for driving towards the following pre-liminary goals: 25-30 Alumni Success Coaching Check-Ins Scheduled Weekly80% Full Alumni Cohort Enrollment Management Knowledge Rate90% Priority Alumni Retained into Upcoming Semester  What We Offer: Compensation & Benefits:Salary for this role is $11/hour.   Application process:Submit your application online through Jobvite.
