Internship Opportunity: Software Development Intern – Diamond Project (12 months)

Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Department: R&D – Electronics & Test Engineering
Reports to: Senior R&D Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our R&D team for a 12-month internship. The successful candidate will support the Diamond Project, focusing on the development of a software tool that visually translates the measurement sequence of a Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzer. This tool will enhance team project understanding and interaction with the analytical process, contributing to improved usability and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with R&D engineers and scientists to understand the TOC analyzer’s measurement sequence and data flow.Design and implement a software tool (prototype or production-ready) that visually represents the measurement steps and logic.Translate complex measurement protocols into intuitive visual workflows or diagrams.Ensure the tool integrates smoothly with existing systems or simulation environments.Participate in testing, validation, and documentation of the developed tool.Present progress and findings regularly to the project team.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.Strong programming skills in languages such as HTML, Python, JavaScript, or C#.Familiarity with data visualization libraries or UI/UX design principles.Ability to understand and model technical processes and measurement sequences.Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

Experience with instrumentation or analytical devices.Knowledge of TOC analysis or similar chemical measurement techniques.Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
