**Your role and responsibilities**
We are looking for a Security Automation Intern to join our team. In this role, you'll be a key part of our mission to make security a first-class citizen within our organization by helping us build the tools and automation that drive our efficiency.
You will be responsible for creating scripts, programs, and other tooling to automate repetitive daily tasks, freeing up our team to focus on more complex challenges. While a deep background in security isn't required, a genuine interest in the field and a belief in its importance is a must. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys technical challenges and is eager to learn and grow.
You will not be working on these projects alone. You'll be a core member of our team, receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced security engineers who will support you every step of the way. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn directly from professionals in the field, all while making a tangible impact on our team's daily operations.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Programming: Proficiency in some programming language that allow to automate and create the desired tools
* Problem-solving: The ability to analyze a task and devise a technical solution to automate it
* Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
* Version control: Experience with Git or a similar version control system
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Security fundamentals: Basic knowledge of common security concepts like authentication, authorization, and cryptography
* Cloud experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
* API knowledge: Experience working with REST APIs to integrate different systems
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC): An understanding of IaC principles and tools like Terraform or Ansible
