Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid internship opportunities at our site in Plymouth, MN. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering at a medical device company.
**Your role**
Ensure the safety and quality of the devices manufactured in our facility meets our customer and patient needs.
+ Assisting in research and development activities associated with new product development and sustaining.
+ Collaborating with cross-functional team members throughout product development phases to ensure program success
+ Making data driven decisions using appropriate analytical methodologies
+ Verifying that designs meet functional requirements through the performance of engineering analyses and testing.
+ Establishing test methods, acceptance criteria, and test equipment for all stages of product development.
+ Writing test protocols, analyzing data, and documenting findings in test reports.
**You're the right fit if**
+ Completed at least 75% of studies in bachelor’s in mechanical, biomedical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
+ Desire to understand and communicate how product is used, designed and manufactured and establish test methods to evaluate design concepts.
+ Detail oriented, highly organized and be able to communicate information effectively.
+ Ability to multitask, take ownership, and collaborate cross functionally with others.
+ Experience using SolidWorks, Excel, and Minitab
+ You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

**Philips Transparency Details**
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
