Intern – B2B Technology Insight Sales

About the role

The sales internship is a comprehensive program in one of Gartner’s high-performing sales channels. Interns work alongside a team of full-time sales associates, who manage a group of named accounts, retain and grow existing client relationships, and forge relationships with prospective clients. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team providing the highest level of sales support in engaging with C-level executives in some of the world’s most successful companies as potential new clients. You’ll gain experience to grow professionally through a best-in-class sales internship program.
 

What you will do

•Proactively manage and prioritize a large volume of leads, utilizing cold-calling and effective pipeline organization to drive conversions. Be comfortable to handle setbacks and rejection with resilience.•Schedule calls with prospective clients via phone and email outreach (including cold calling)•Establish strong relationships across various levels within client organizations, clearly communicating Gartner’s value and competitive advantages and the value of Gartner’s renowned products and services•Navigate customer objections confidently, providing clear and concise responses that highlight Gartner benefits•Engage in a hands-on training environment to develop skills for executing top priorities of Gartner’s sales organization•Collaborate with Gartner’s sales team and their clients/prospects to learn effective strategies for prospecting, engagement, retention and growth​•Participate in sales and retention activities alongside your aligned sales team•Shadow sales associates and practice different components of Gartner’s sales processes•Utilize business acumen to research companies, C-level executives, business trends, and competitive intelligence to create detailed research-based strategic communication plans
 

What you will gain

•Direct exposure to C-level executives at entry level, developing the ability to act as a strategic partner to senior executives across various mid-size organizations within an assigned territory•Skills that will enable you to consult C-level executives to develop and implement effective, enterprise-wide strategies that maximize the value delivered by Gartner products and services•In-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services, gaining experience in delivering solutions to C-level executives•Real-time sales experience through shadowing sales associates and practicing different components of Gartner’s renowned sales methodology

What you will need

•Currently enrolled into a Master’s/bachelor’s degree, with expected graduation between Dec’26 to Aug’27•Available to intern full-time between Monday, 25 May 2026 to Friday, 31 July 2026 (10 weeks)•Previous experience in cold calling, sales, or business development, along with a clear ambition to build a career in sales•Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal) to engage with C-level executives, combined with a results-oriented and customer-focused approach to problem solving•Resilience and adaptability to handle frequent rejection and bounce back quickly and stronger•Motivated by financial goals and excel in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, even when facing challenges or ambiguity.•Self-driven with a track record of achieving/exceeding metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and sales quotas.•Competitive and curious mindset, demonstrated by goal setting, extracurricular involvement, and supporting team success•Leadership or work experience to supplement strong academic achievement.
