What You Will Do
As an intern in ATF, you’ll have the opportunity to support flow path and airfoil design to support cycle requirements. Opportunities exist to work on a wide range of products and technical initiatives, including Computation Fluids Dynamic (CFD) analysis and analysis of engine test data.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide aerodynamic support ensuring on-time delivery and technical quality required of work performed.Perform low to medium complexity steady state Computation Fluids Dynamic (CFD) analysis to evaluate modeled hardware and compare to design requirements.Review and analysis of engine test data.Supporting closure of key technical issues.Working in teams with other engineers to improve technical capability Keep track of tasks assigned and be able to provide status.Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or trainings required.English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak EnglishWhat You Will Learn

ATF is responsible for the aerodynamic and thermal design, analysis and performance evaluation of all engine modules and systems, including fans, compressors, combustors, turbines, augmentors, inlets and nozzles. ATF is focused on aerodynamic analysis, turbomachinery performance, combustion modeling, secondary flow and heat transfer, performance integration, acoustics, and aeromechanics.
This position is classified as hybrid. Please ensure this role type (defined below) is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
