The Component Repair Group at RTX Corporation focuses on maintaining and enhancing the performance of aerospace and defense components through approved specialized repair processes. This team is responsible for writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Method Sheets (PMSs) to ensure efficient and standardized repair operations. They collaborate closely with operators to support technical data management and document creation, contributing to the overall reliability and safety of aerospace systems. **What You Will Do** RTX Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. The intern will assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process Method Sheets (PMSs), and support engineering with technical data, working closely with operators to update and create new documents. The ideal candidate is a sophomore or junior in college, pursuing a degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field. This position is onsite within Pratt & Whitney Component Repairs – Wichita Falls, Texas. Key Responsibilities: Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): + Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to develop and document clear and concise SOPs. + Ensure all SOPs comply with industry standards and company policies. + Review and revise existing SOPs to enhance clarity and functionality. Supporting Engineering with Technical Data: + Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of technical data. + Provide support in the preparation of technical reports and documentation. + Participate in engineering meetings and contribute to technical discussions. Working with Operators to Update and Create New Process Sheets: + Partner with operators to gather information and feedback on current process sheets. + Develop and update process sheets to reflect the latest procedures and best practices. + Ensure process sheets are user-friendly and easily accessible to all relevant personnel. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Must be a sophomore or junior in college, enrolled in a degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field. + U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Basic understanding of engineering principles and technical documentation. **Qualifications We Prefer** + Previous internship or co-op experience in an engineering or technical role. + Experience with technical writing or documentation. + Minimum GPA of 3.0 **Learn More & Apply Now!** This position is classified as onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
